For many years now, I’ve been taking one or two classes at Revere Academy for Jewelry Arts whenever I could afford them. Thanks to the MAG Revere Scholarship, I was able to take on of the last few classes I needed to complete my Graduate Jeweler diploma.

For many years now, I’ve been taking one or two classes at Revere Academy for Jewelry Arts whenever I could afford them. Thanks to the MAG Revere Scholarship, I was able to take the last few classes I needed to complete my Graduate Jeweler diploma. An education at Revere is so much more than just the content of the course. Taking a class means having access to the world-class jewelry experts. Every Revere instructor is as sharing with information as Alan Revere himself is. As students, we are welcome to ask detailed questions about the techniques in the class, as well as anything else we want to know about the jewelry world – other techniques, business practices, best tools for a job, and even sourcing supplies (which many jewelers keep as a closely-guarded secret.)  It’s rare in the jewelry world to find such open and generous teachers. Having access to them as a student is absolutely invaluable.

I chose to put MAG Revere Scholarship toward one of my advanced fabrication classes. For me, advanced fabrication represents the culmination of my Revere experience. Being able to fabricate to exacting standards is vital to my career goal of creating competition-worthy jewelry pieces, and to being able to deliver quality jewelry to my clients on a daily basis.
