Mag has partnered with Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts to offer a MAG member scholarship for one Open Session course of the winner’s choosing. The award money is a “no strings attached” style grant. Jurors vary each year and are chosen based on their level of achievement and commitment to the field.
MAG provides members with opportunities to show their work in galleries and museums and through juried and all-member exhibitions. Past exhibition venues have included Velvet da Vinci, the Richmond Art center, ACCI, Craft and Culture Arts Gallery and the SNAG Conference.
Through community-based events like the annual Maker Faire, members can be a vital part of a team of volunteers that actively engage and educate the general public by participating in discussions and live demonstrations centered around metalsmithing and craft. MAG frequently sponsors outreach through programming and student scholarships to students of bay area schools with jewelry and sculpture programs.
MAG rents attractive and secure displays for member shows and exhibitions. By providing these cases, we are broadening venue options for exhibiting work from our field and helps to grow our audience by exposing new people to what we do.
